Balance & Fall Prevention

Injuries from falling are the leading reason senior citizens require nursing healthcare.

Physical changes, health conditions and even medications can make it more likely that someone will fall. However, falling is not an inevitable result of aging. Through practical lifestyle adjustments, evidence-based falls prevention programs, and clinical-community partnerships, the number of falls among seniors can be substantially reduced.

The Cavalier Fall Prevention Program reduces the frequency of patient falls and subsequent hospital readmission for injury. This is accomplished through patient / caregiver education regarding home safety, home and environmental modification, medication management / assessment and therapy for balance and strengthening.
